AQUARIUS FORUM TERMS OF USE

The Aquarius forum is available for its users to share thoughts, experiences and feelings around substance misuse. The forum is designed
to be a safe, friendly and secure environment for online peer-to-peer experiences which will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The
forum will also allow users to stay updated with what Aquarius is doing and give you plenty of opportunity to get involved with our events and
activities. Joining and using the forum is completely FREE - just remember to follow the rules to make this is a pleasurable experience for
everyone.

1. TERMS OF USE FOR AQUARIUS WEB FORUM

To use the Aquarius forum you must accept the following terms and conditions. Failure to do so will result in you being removed from the
forum.

Throughout these terms and conditions we may use the terms “us”, “we”, and “our” to refer to Aquarius. The terms “you” “your” and “user”
refers to the individual that has accepted these terms; this includes any user operating under your membership ID and password. In the case
where the person using the Aquarius forum is between the ages of 13 and 18, “you” “your” and “user” refers to this individual and his or her
parent or legal guardian. As a parent or legal guardian, you agree to be responsible for any act or omission of any user between the ages
of 13 and 18 and you have permitted them access to the use of the Aquarius forum.

This service is provided to you subject to the following terms and conditions. This section may be updated from time to time without notice to
you. You can review the most current terms and conditions by clicking on the forum T & C link located in the secondary menu of every
website page (with the exception of the forum).

By using this forum you are agreeing not to impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with
a person or entity. You are also agreeing not to upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any content that you do not have
the right to make available under any law or under contractual or fiduciary relationships (such as inside information, proprietary and
confidential information or that disclosed as part of employment relationships or under nondisclosure agreements).

2. REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

To use the Aquarius forum YOU MUST be 13 years of age or older and if under the age of 18 you must gain permission from a parent or
legal guardian who accepts these terms and conditions. If we have reason to believe that you are under the age of 13 your account will be
terminated without prior warning. By using the Aquarius forum you represent and warrant that you meet the stated criteria.

You must supply a valid e-mail address. New users will not be able to post in the Aquarius forum until their account has been approved by
our forum administrator.

When signing up to the Aquarius forum you must provide a username and valid email address. Once you have completed and submitted the
form your account will undergo approval. Once your account has been approved an e-mail will be sent to you providing you with a ONE-
TIME
log-in link which will allow you to create your password. You MUST create your password during your first log-in, otherwise you will not
be able to access the forum in the future.

Your username must not be of an offensive nature. Anyone found to be deliberately using a name that could be offensive to others will have
their account terminated without prior warning. Please bear in mind that your username will be visible to everyone viewing the forum, so avoid
using your full/ real name.

Only one account is permitted per user. Anyone found to be using more than one account shall have all of their accounts suspended; this
may also lead to permanent removal from the Aquarius forum.

3. CODE OF CONDUCT

Posts by you of any illegal or prohibited content may result in the termination of your account. We also reserve the right to investigate and
take any appropriate legal action against anyone who violates this provision; this may also involve violators being reported to authorities.
Content and conduct that is prohibited includes, but is not limited to, content and conduct that in our sole judgement:

  • Is offensive to the online community, such as racism, bigotry, threats, hatred or physical harm of any kind against any group or individual.
  • Harasses or advocates harassment of another person.
  • Involves the transmission of junk mail, chain letters, spam or any other unsolicited mass mailing, e-mailing, or other communication.
  • Constitutes spamming or flooding of any kind.
  • Results in the falsification of IP address information, modification of message headers to conceal your identity or to impersonate others.
  • Interferes with or disrupts the services, servers or networks used to provide or receive the service or you disobey any requirement,
    procedure, polices and regulation of any networks used to provide and receive the service.
  • The use of scrapers, bots, or other automated posting or downloading scripts.
  • Posting any information that you know is false or misleading.
  • Posting anything that promotes illegal activities or conduct that is abusive.
  • Posting anything that is threatening, obscene, insulting, or libellous.
  • Constitutes or includes any illegal or unauthorised copy of another person’s copyrighted or copyrightable work, including, but not limited to
    pirated computer programs or links to them, information that circumvents manufacture-installed copy-protect devices or pirated music or
    links to them.
  • Displaying pornographic or sexually explicit material of any kind.
  • Posting material that exploits people under the age of 18 in a sexual or violent manner, or is intended to seek personal information from
    anyone under 18.
  • Providing instructional information about illegal activities such as making or buying illegal weapons, violating someone’s privacy, or
    providing or creating computer viruses or other harmful code.
  • Soliciting passwords or personally identifying information for commercial or unlawful purposes from other members.
  • Constituting or including any promotion, sales or other commercial activity such as contest, sweepstakes, barter, advertising or pyramid
    schemes.
  • The posting of personal information or calls to invasion of privacy.
  • Impersonating an Aquarius administrator, moderator or janitor is strictly forbidden.

 

 

4. YOUR ACCOUNT

You reserve the right to delete your account at any time. However, please be aware that posts will normally not be removed and will become
listed under the name “anonymous”. This is because it may lead to posts by other users being read incorrectly. There is also the issue that
your posts have generated replies and encouraged others to reflect or contribute their thoughts and opinions; so before asking for your
posts to be removed please take into consideration the time and effort others may have put into responding to your posts.

If you wish to have your post removed please e-mail forumcontrol@aquarius.org.uk and state clearly what you would like removed.

5. YOUR DETAILS

Do not for any reason post your personal details or that of anybody else. This includes but is not limited to, phone numbers, e-mail
addresses, home addresses, Facebook or any other social networking accounts.

Protect your password. You should not give it to anyone, directly or indirectly, other than to a parent or legal guardian if you are between the
ages of 13 and 18. You are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password, Aquarius will not be held responsible for
anything that happens to your account due to a shared, lost or stolen password.

6. YOUR POSTS

Please try to use clear English with standard punctuation, capitalisation and paragraphs in your posts.

To make this forum useable and enjoyable for all users do not write in indecipherable text for example, “Are you going to the cinema
tonight?” should not be written as “R u goin 2da cinema 2nite?”

Before you decide to give other forum users advice please make sure that the information you are providing is as accurate as possible. It is
important to note that the suggestion of another user is not a substitute for a professional opinion; what works for you may not necessarily
work for somebody else.

7. MONITORING

Aquarius will attempt to monitor its forum on a regular basis to ensure that insensitive or abusive posts are removed, and violators are dealt
with accordingly. However, there is still a possibility that you may become exposed to prohibited behaviour. As we do not control the postings
of our forum users we will not be in any way responsible for the damages (to or from any party) related to such exposure. If you do come
across content that raises your concern please e-mail forumcontrol@aquarius.org.uk so that we may quickly resolve any issues.

8. TERMINATION

In the event of any misconduct by you, Aquarius has the right to immediately terminate your account, which in its sole discretion considers to
be unacceptable; this may be done without prior notice or the giving of any reason.

If an account is terminated due to a violation of our terms, we will retain a user’s information to prevent them from registering again; their
information may also be used if a need for legal action were to arise.

9. THIRD PARTY MATERIALS

All third party materials must be referenced to its original source and must include full credit to the authors. Please do not post material that
has been forbidden for reproduction, or material that may be offensive to others or aims to sell products to other users.

10. COPYRIGHT POLICY

Aquarius respects the intellectual property rights of others and we prohibit users from uploading, posting or transmitting any text, files,
images, designs, graphics, photos, video, sounds, musical works, page layouts, works of authorship or any other content that violates the
intellectual property rights of another party. Any notification of alleged copyright infringements will result in the immediate removal of the
content and the termination of the account of repeat offenders.

11. INTERNET ACCESS

Aquarius is not responsible for any connection or access to the website by you nor are we responsible for the quality of the transmission of
any information passing between you and the website. You are responsible for providing your own communications equipment to access the
website via the internet, and for any internet charges.

12. PRIVACY AND USE OF INFORMATION

Aquarius does not sell, rent or trade user information and will always strive to maintain a high level of security to ensure that the data of our
users is kept private and confidential.

13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Aquarius has no control over the content hosted on other internet sites; just because a link appears in our forum does not mean that
Aquarius approves or endorses that content.

Aquarius cannot be held responsible for what others do with the information you post on the forum, so it is up to you to be cautious about the
information you receive or share with other users.

It is strongly suggested that users DO NOT meet up with one another offline. Aquarius cannot be held responsible for any events that may
occur if users decide to meet in person outside of an Aquarius setting.

Aquarius makes no warranty that:

  • This forum will meet your requirements.
  • The results obtained from using this online service will be accurate or reliable.
  • The quality of information provided to you by other users will meet your expectations.
